Abi & Cutler

I thought this was a cute picture & couldn't resist posting it!
This is a picture of Abigayle & Cutler. Cutler is one of my best friends (Liz) baby. He was born 1 month & 1 day later than Abi. Aren't they adorable?

:CaTCHiNG FLieS:

Growing up, my dad used to catch me with my mouth wide open and he'd say, "Catching flies Jayme?". Since the day Abi was born, she has been a "mouth breather". Instead of breathing through her nose, she breathes through her mouth. I haven't had to worry about not hearing her at night because I can hear her LOUD breathing! For some reason I have never been able to breath through my nose, especially when it comes to sleeping.... And Abi now has been cursed with this horrible trait of 'catching flies. (It's really cute on her though).

We wanted to get the new babies pictures taken in their blessing outfits. This is a picture of Abi & her cousins.  They are each 6 days apart.  Aren't they so cute?

Name & Blessing

Sunday, September 9th, was a special day for our little family. Dave was able to bless our sweet little Abigayle. She was given a name which will be known throughout her life & upon the records of our church, & a very sweet blessing. Words cannot express how much I love my little family!  And also my extended family. They bring me so much joy!  I am so grateful for them, & for them being a part of my life!

Abigayle Pearl Richards

Born: August 13, 2007
Time: 2:26 AM
Stats: 6lbs. 5oz. & 18.5"
I was induced, Sunday, August 12th, around 7 PM.  My water broke at 10 PM.  I got an epidural by 11 PM.  Little Abi was born August 13th at 2:26 AM.  When the nurse came to check me, she didn't expect to find me fully dilated & efaced.  I was a bit nervous because I couldn't feel a thing.  I remember asking the nurses how I would know if it was time & she told me  I would feel pressure.  I never felt pressure.  I was COMPLETELY numb; maybe even too numb.  I honestly think the Spirit was telling me when it was time.  I remember at one point the nurse told me that it would be several hours before I was fully dilated.  For some reason (Spirit), I felt like it was time.  Not even 30 minutes from the nurse telling me how long it would take.  So, I think out of humor she checked the progress and was completely surprised that "IT WAS TIME".  She could see the top of Abi's head peeking out.  Quickly, but calmly, the nurses got everything ready & told Dr. H to get ready to deliver.  He told me to start to push while he put his gloves on, & when I pushed he told me to stop because Abi's head was out entirely.  So 2 pushes & she was here! It was the easiest labor so far!!! She came out so alert & smacking her lips.  What a miracle it is! What a blessing from Heaven.  We had a very comfortable stay.  And are so happy for her safe arrival.

*Abi's was named after her Great Great Grandma Pearl Jaques.  Originally, we were going to name her Sophia Isabelle.  When she was born, Dave & I looked at her and knew she was not a Sophie.  We both liked the name Abigayle.  At the time, my family was helping take care of my Great Grandma Jaques (Abi's Great Great Grandma).  She was getting old & needed assistance in the daily tasks she faced.  Dave & I felt that Pearl was a beautiful middle name in honor of her.  4 days later Grandma Jaques passed away.*

It's a GIRL!

This isn't the greatest picture to take while pregnant, but I never took many belly pictures when I was pregnant with my first.
Here I am at 25 weeks with "Baby Girl #2".   According to the 2 ultra sounds we had, the doctor was sure we were having ourselves a boy.  So, when we went in for our "Target Ultra Sound" we were very surprised to find out that we were NOT having a boy, but POSITIVELY having us another girl! We are very excited & cannot wait for her arrival!  Everything looks great on baby girl! She is growing normally & there are no problems.  We are grateful!
